India's efforts to strengthen strategic and commercial connections with Europe were reinforced on April 23, 2026, when Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Mr. Jitin Prasada finished his visit to the Czech Republic. Increasing bilateral trade, investment, and innovation cooperation was the main goal of the April 22–23 visit. He met with high-ranking Czech officials, such as Deputy Minister Jan Sechter and Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček, to discuss new prospects and assess economic development. In Prague, he co-chaired the 13th India-Czech Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation and signed a pact to increase cooperation in developing industries. To strengthen economic relations, the India-Czech economic Forum was also established. Long-term economic cooperation and expanding innovative partnerships were highlighted by visits to AI, robotics, and laser research centers.
