As the NDA celebrated 12 years in power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the government's dedication to farmer welfare. Important programs including PM-KISAN, PMFBY, PM-KUSUM, and Kisan Credit Card have enhanced credit availability, financial inclusion, and income security. Almost 9.5 crore farmer families have received more than Rs. 4.28 lakh crore under PM-KISAN. Drones, Soil Health Cards, natural farming, and irrigation programs have all been used by the government to promote modern agriculture. About 26 crore Soil Health Cards have been issued since 2014–15, and PMFBY has resolved crop insurance claims of Rs. 1.92 lakh crore. Rice production exceeded 154 million tonnes in 2024–2025, while foodgrain production reached 358 million tonnes as a result of these efforts.
