Summary:

Through trade, investment, connectivity, renewable energy, and collaboration on the blue economy, India and the Seychelles are fortifying their economic ties. Bilateral trade increased by about 15% from the previous year to Rs. 703 crore (US$84.88 million) in 2023 - 2024. India's imports totalled Rs. 72 crore, while its exports totalled Rs. 631 crore. Between April 2024 and February 2025, commerce totalled Rs. 617 crore, of which Rs. 580 crore came from exports and Rs. 36 crore from imports. Improved air connection, such as IndiGo's Mumbai - Mahé flights that began in 2025, has helped Indian companies including Bank of Baroda, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, and Ashok Leyland grow in the Seychelles. Solar energy, blue economy initiatives, and financial transparency are all areas of cooperation that build linkages to sustainable development.
